Best Camp Instructors... Ever!

It has been quite a week! A month of planning, creating, reading endless
topics for teaching a girls camp of natural history.

Many lessons learned - countless to say the least.
Great experiences, adventures...trusting one's guidance,
listening, and stillness to the affect of knowing. Putting all
my skills to work. Lots of laughter and silly jokes too.

It has been a delight to meet and work with someone who inspires me and they didn't know it until recently. It is great to facilitate with another instructor that can play "tag, you're on!" with spontaneity.

This is CeCe - the greatest environmental education instructor I know!!
She went to college to teach youth outdoor adventure skills. And she sure has taught me quite a few things... making a pizza by hand and baking it on an MSR Whisperlite (camp stove)... "I Have Made Fire!" was my moment, very empowering. How to rig a bear hang, and how not to wear boots that rub your toes. How to "Go! with gusto" and make it adventurous, no matter the situation - she has a remarkable work ethic. She has the incredible ability to address a child that may be "acting-out" in a calm and thoughtful way - which makes it all worth while.
